New York baseball fans can be the most loyal fans in the world or they can be the most brutal. Believe me I’ve seen it time and time again, guys can be beloved or despised. Up until recently, for Mets fans at Shea stadium the one visiting player who was most likely to be designated for raucous booing was (Larry) Chipper Jones. However, after last week’s Home Run Hitting contest at the All Star game at Yankee stadium I believe there is a player who will usurp that special mantle from Atlanta’s third baseman.
